Goodbye, Texas
Gee 21 days - that is a long time. I think I got tired of Mex-Tex food. I know we all got tired of chip and seal roads - too bumpy. There wasn’t a welcome sign to Louisiana on our road, so I guess we came unannounced. We had a tail wind most of the day. Last night’s storm left the air heavy with possible rain, but it held for us.
Deridder, LA is our home tonight, without electrical power in the AM. It is supposed to be 54 degrees in the morning when we start again.
Tonight we had shrimp etouffee and Mardi Gras beads!

Retta, we are leaving Missouri on Monday morning and I'm not sure what season to pack for. we have had rain, snow flurries, wind, and now a little sunshine. Cannot wait to see you on Tuesday!
Love, joy
sorry to see you leave texas but i hope you enjoyed your time there. it's all down hill and flat from this point on. the weather may prove a challenge but the ocean will feel good when you arrive in florida. watch out for the crocks but enjoy the ride. your wachtful angel
