Blanco, Texas

64 miles today, and I don’t remember how many down. 34 degrees and raining. A few brave souls started out this morning. The van was packed and soon we had too-too-cold gals joining us. She was shivering uncontrollably. We undressed her wet clothes as best we could. Someone had an emergency blanket to wrap her with. We gave her hot Gatorade to drink - what a tasty treat. And the ultimate: Someone took off her wet shoes and put those very cold feet on a warm tummy. Now that is friendship! Only 4 very brave gals made the whole day.
