Liverpool, Texas

39 miles, and 1,506 miles down. Liverpool has a population 20! Threats of thunderstorms in the morning. Last night we had the talk what to do if caught outside — didn’t sound pleasant. Hope we never have to do that.

All uphill - really uphill - a 10 percent grade, and a climb of 2800 feet. Did I say the wind was blowing in our face from the moment we left the hotel?

Hill Country - not my expectation of "hill". It reminded me of the Boston Mountains in Arkansas.

Out in the woods tonight: No phone, no internet, no TV. And did I tell you my grandbaby is supposed to be born tonight/tomorrow.

The flower is Mountain Laurel — beautiful We had supper in the Big House because it was too cold to sit outside.

Love ya, Joy
