Kerrville, Texas
The Heart of Hill Country. 51 miles today, 1557 miles down. We are halfway.
Most everyone is feeling the ride. We have a gastrointestinal 24 hour flu bug going through the group. The scenery continues to be spectacular. Here I am in the Bluebonnets — it is so refreshing to see flowers after all the arid stuff. My bike is in the shop - something with the derailleur. My pedals locked up today. The chip and seal road has just “rattled” us mercilessly. Tomorrow is a rest day. There are several bikes spending the night in the shop.
Now we are in apple country. Of course, we ride for pie. This morning it was apple turnovers.
The big news is I have my 7th grandbaby yesterday: Kara Ann, 6lbs and 8oz. Of course I was where there was no phone!

Cool pictures of bluebells and you. Congratulations of the birth of your seventh grandchild! I have tried to see little Kara on the web nursery but I do not have all the secret passwords right.
Becky and Andy just informed us about their new addition due in October. So number six and number seven for us. Life is good! Cannot wait to see you soon.
Love, Joy
