Rest day in Navasota

Homemade tortillas!

Pedaling through town with nothing else to do on a rest day, some of us discovered an antique emporium. We were invited to the weekly lunch potluck — how fortunate for us.

Juanita was making fresh tortillas. She said she had been making them for about 60 years now! They were wonderful.

Faber, a local lawyer showed us his recently restored office. Such a nice visit with the town people. Faber filled us in on the local history - an old Spanish road is not the main street in town.

Now this sounds like FUN! Better roads and weather!! Cannot wait to see you soon. We are leaving Monday for Louisiana and are staying at a B&B near yours. The plantation tours sound great. Let me know if there is anything you are dying to have.

Love ya, Joy
