73 miles today, a whole lot down - but we are still in Texas.

It’s wonderfully warm here. I feel a little guilty it is so cold and miserable in the Midwest. The weather today could not have been better — I never got hot or cold. There was just enough wind to temper the heat.

The landscape continues to change. I saw ferns today and no prickly pear. No bluebonnets but plenty of yellow, orange and pink stuff. There were a few friendly horses near the Sam Houston Reservoir. A nice day minus the traffic. The day ended with a wonderful B-B-Q made just for us.
