Here In Sunny California
Nice flight. Not too bumpy. Didn't get lost in the airport. The hotel shuttle picked me up. I met two gals standing in line at the hotel check-in. Did I say it is warm here?
Sleeveless shirt, palm trees, marina across the street. A sea-bass taco on a fresh tortilla for lunch. Why is it again that I live far from the ocean? Earthquakes and hurricanes you say? Hmmm…
Today, it is beautiful.

Just want to tell you to "enjoy the ride" as they say. I live in Paola, Ks and have a small house at the Lake of the Ozarks. I play bingo once and awhile and know your folks from there. Also, a former renter of yours, Ann Macgillivray is a very close frien of our family for over 30 years. Her folks are our best friends.Just wanted to say hi as I admire your ambition. I too am turning the big 60 in June. Stay healthy and I will try to follow your ride.-Terry G.
Hey Retta! I finally clicked on your blog and it is great. This is a wonderful way to keep in touch because I never know when to call you?? Hopefully you survived the first day's journey, made forever friends, and are soaring with the eagles! I love your passion- cause that is what dreams are made of.
Love, your sister, Joy.
Retta,
This is my second attempt to write you. I am not good with the computer. You are now well into your second day. Have you found some new muscle groups? You must be seeing beautiful sights & meeting new people. This trip is a trip of a lifetime.
Take care,
Karen
PS Your little brother, Bob, sends his love!!
